Research
When designing SARAH, I focused on understanding the needs of food lovers in Japan. Early on, I realized during user research that users needed a better way to evaluate restaurant locations and manage their dining experiences. Many found it challenging to keep track of the places they visited or compare options based on proximity, making it harder to fully enjoy their culinary journeys.
Design outcome
To address this, we added a map feature that lets users evaluate restaurant distances, track visited dishes, and sort search results by proximity. This addition makes it easy for users to organize and plan their dining experiences more efficiently.
The results
Since my involvement with SARAH, the platform has seen increased user satisfaction and engagement. Users have particularly appreciated the improved interface and new features, such as personalized recommendations and the map function. Our partners have also shared positive feedback, recognizing the enhancements made to the overall user experience.
